Suspect arrested in shooting death
WARREN — Police have captured a 29-year-old Warren man who was sought for suspected involvement with the city's first homicide of 2008. City detectives and federal marshals took Jason Orr into custody about 3:30 p.m. Monday in a car that was in front of the Trumbull County Jail. His mother and grandmother also were in the car. City detectives obtained an arrest warrant Monday charging Orr with the Sunday morning shooting death of Tristan Aguilar, 24, of Saginaw, Mich. Aguilar had been wanted on nine outstanding warrants in Michigan in a shooting aimed at a police officer and other offenses, said U.S. Marshal Dean Michael. Michael said marshals planned to begin looking for Aguilar on Monday based on information that he was in the Warren area where he has associates.
